Summary of Position: The Director of NetworkEngagement supports Child Care Aware of America’s Network Impact Team bystrengthening systems and scaling solutions that help CCR&Rs, child careproviders, and families access the information and resources they need. This roleleads high-level project management efforts, builds strategic partnerships, andcollaborates with internal and external experts to create impactfulopportunities across the early care and education field. Serving as a subjectmatter expert, the Director provides exceptional technical assistance andsupport to CCR&Rs and other child care leaders.

The Director leads CCAoA’s Early Childhood WorkforceSpecialist and in developing training and technical assistance resources thathelp network organizations identify, implement, and engage with solutionsaligned to their goals and needs.

Position Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Leadand manage complex, cross-functional projects from planning throughimplementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines,deliverables, and the expectations of interested parties.
  • Drivestrategies that strengthen and engage CCAoA’s national network through scalablesolutions that support CCR&Rs, state systems, and community-basedorganizations.
  • Leadinitiatives related to the Child Development Associate (CDA) and otherworkforce development efforts that expand access, strengthen professionalpathways, and support early care and education providers.
  • Identifyand cultivate collaborative partnerships with state agencies, nationalorganizations, and community partners to advance the early care and educationfield and support sustainable systems-building efforts.
  • Supportstate agencies and network partners in strengthening child care systems throughtechnical assistance, capacity-building, and infrastructure developmentstrategies.
  • Overseeproject budgets by monitoring expenditures, tracking funding allocations, andensuring resources are managed effectively to achieve project objectives andorganizational priorities.
  • Leadthe development of training and technical assistance resources that promotescalable, sustainable solutions for CCR&Rs and organizations supportingstate child care systems.
  • Collaboratewith internal teams and external partners to design and deliver training,technical assistance, convenings, and other engagement opportunities thatsupport network impact and shared learning.
  • Buildand maintain strong, productive relationships with CCR&R organizations andother key stakeholders to support collaboration, responsiveness, and continuousengagement.
  • Ensureprograms, resources, and service delivery strategies align with current bestpractices, adult learning principles, and CCAoA’s strategic vision andpriorities.
  • Partnerwith the Senior Vice President, Network Impact to implement workplans, scopesof work, and strategic initiatives effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintainhigh ethical standards, including safeguarding confidential and sensitiveinformation.
  • Supportspecial projects and organizational initiatives that advance Child Care Aware®of America’s mission and objectives.
  • Performadditional duties as assigned to support the effective operation of theorganization.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstratedability and commitment to maintain current knowledge of child care practices,including alignment with Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) requirementsand emerging recommendations from leaders and experts in the field.
  • Abilityto document technical assistance activities through clear narrative summariesand technical reports.
  • Experiencewith virtual learning and meeting platforms, including webinar facilitation andonline engagement tools.
  • Exceptionalinterpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectivelyengage clients, members, partners, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Strongorganizational, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effectivefacilitation, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, with the abilityto navigate and reconcile diverse perspectives.
  • Abilityto work independently and collaboratively across teams while engagingindividuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and skill levels to achieveprogram goals.
  • Provenability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with staff,leadership, partners, and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Minimumof five years of experience providing training and technical assistance tosystems-level professionals at the local, state, or national level preferred.

Salary Information:

The salary range reflected in this job posting is the hiringrange for this position within the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Please notethat a geographic differential will be applied to the salary for candidateshired from regions with a lower cost of living. This adjustment ensurescompetitive and equitable compensation based on location.
